This is a truly one-of-a-kind Yirgacheffe. 

It carries the signature floral and Meyer lemon notes we love, but what makes it special is a creamy fresh rice milk character that brings me straight back to my childhood.

When I was little, I lived with my grandparents. One of our favorite homemade treats was fresh rice milk, or 米汤 (pronounced as: mi-tong) in my mother tongue. When my grandma cooked rice, she would add far more water than needed. As the rice boiled, the liquid on top would turn semi-opaque — milky, fragrant, creamy, and delicately sweet, filled with the comforting aroma of freshly cooked rice.

My grandma would scoop up that rice milk, add a bit of sugar, and share it with us. The neighborhood kids and I would line up, waiting for our turn — a simple everyday joy.

This Yirga cheffe has that exact aroma. The moment I smelled it, the memory surfaced from a long-forgotten corner of my mind — so warm and vivid.

For pour-over: you’ll experience a sweet, gentle rose aroma layered with the scent of fresh rice milk. The cup is soft, mild, and elegant, with subtle nuances of Meyer lemon, honey, and floral sweetness. It is delicate, yet quietly expressive.

As a single-origin espresso: unlike many bold or heavy espressos, this one remains graceful and refined while still full of flavor. The crema is especially creamy and fluffy, giving the shot a beautifully smooth texture.

For milk drinks: a cortado is ideal, just enough milk to complement the coffee without masking its gentle character.

这是一支不通寻常的耶珈雪菲。不仅带着耶珈雪菲标签式的花香与梅尔柠檬气息,最特别的是它如米汤一般的,那种新鲜,煮熟的米香,一下子将我带回了童年。

小的时候,我和爷爷奶奶住在一起。那时,我们没什么零食,也没啥饮料。每天,奶奶煮饭的时候,会往锅里加很多很多水。饭煮开了,锅子的上半部分乳白色半透明的液体就是米汤了,透着一股子温暖,甘美的新鲜稻香。奶奶打起米汤,加点糖,就分给我和小伙伴们。那便是我们每天的小确幸了。

杯测的时候,这支咖啡的香气,触不及防,解开了记忆的尘封。这些日子冲泡这支咖啡,便会让我一次次重温儿时米汤的感觉 - 那温暖的香气,那淡淡的甜。

这支咖啡当然适合手冲。香气有着玫瑰花香,也有滋养的米汤气息。喝起来温和,轻盈且滋润,却依然有许多耐人寻味的细腻层次。唇齿之间,也能品到些许米汤的滋味。

作为单品意式浓缩,不同于许多厚重或强烈的意式,它依然温柔而甜美, 滋味豐富卻不張揚。它Crema 特别绵密而丝滑,口感同样温和。

如果要加牛奶的话,我会建议做 cortado。这样刚刚好,融入了奶香,又不会掩盖它细腻滋味。
