A very rare high-elevation microlot from Sumatra.
In our 10 years of roasting, this is the first time we’ve come across a Sumatra grown at an elevation of 1,800 meters above sea level.
With careful tuning of the roast profile, we brought out a surprisingly juicy and crisp side of this coffee. As a pour over, it reminds us of a fresh Pink Lady apple, with a touch of tangerine and caramel sweetness. In a latte, the character shifts beautifully, bringing out a much surprisingly obvious chocolate note.
Medium roasted, versatile, and simply delicious!

Artistic Inspiration

This product image is inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s Evening Star No. II (1917), a watercolor that turns a landscape and evening light into simple, flowing layers of color. We borrowed this beautiful sense of abstraction to express the coffee’s juicy Pink Lady apple and tangerine notes, gradually deepening into caramel and chocolate.
